Mauna Kea Sunrise // Hawaii

Beautiful sunrise on top of Mauna Kea on the Big Island in Hawaii. Hilo is below the clouds. Elevation: 13,803′. Mauna Kea's summit is one of the best sites in the world for astronomical observation. I was hoping to get a milky way shot, however, we got there at twilight.

Watch Tower 3AM // Grand Canyon

Our first visit to Desert View watchtower at Grand Canyon. It was a cloudy day, so we set our alarm to wake up at 2AM in hopes of a clear sky. We were excited to see stars out on this bright full moon night. It was a cold 35 degree May night. But wow, it was worth it. Can see Cassiopeia constellation?
